3 - 5 July 2012 - BRE Watford

Details :

If you are an existing assessor with us and wish to gain the international qualification then please contact us.

The BREEAM International course is a three day course. The first two days of the course provide a foundation for the International scheme and covers:

  • a brief introduction to sustainable construction
  • meeting environmental needs with BREEAM
  • the assessment process and support structures in place for the scheme and assessors

The third day focuses on the technical aspects of international buildings. The format of the 3 days is a mixture of presentations and interactive workshops.

It is advantageous that you have a good level of both written and spoken English.  The course and all the material will be in English.

This scheme uses calculation tools which run in MS Excel with macros. Macintosh computers are unable to use this function and you will need access to a PC to complete assessments.

Programme :

The three day course covers much ground, a detailed programme will be sent to you once your booking is confirmed.

The course fee includes all material including the BREEAM Assessor Manual. All candidates completing the course will receive a CPD certificate.

  • The price of the three day course is £1475 plus VAT (including the examination and test assessment)
  • The price for attending the 3rd day only (scheme specific top up day) is £525 plus VAT (including the examination and test assessment) - To qualify to attend only the 3rd Day (Scheme Specific) of the course you must have previously attended a Non-Domestic BREEAM assessor training course (within the last 18 months) or be a licensed assessor for any other non-domestic BREEAM scheme.

Lunch and refreshments are included in the price.

Exam & Test Assessment

Please note that you must present acceptable photo identification (ID) for admission to the examination. This may be either your passport, driving licence or EU ID card. Please note that without photo ID you will not be permitted to undertake the examination.

If you are wishing to become a qualified and licensed BREEAM assessor you will require certification against the Competent Persons Scheme. This is provided by BRE Global. For certification you will need to complete a two-stage examination comprising of (i) an examination taken under controlled classroom conditions and (ii) a test assessment (after the course) which is submitted to BRE Global.  An application form for Certification against the Competent Persons Scheme is then completed after you have successfully passed the two-stage examination.  Please note that it is a requirement that once qualified your organisation must hold a BREEAM licence agreement in order to carry out BREEAM assessments. A copy of the BREEAM Licence Agreement is available from the BREEAM Office.

To undertake assessments for each of the schemes you will need to take out a seperate licence for each. If you wish to become a licenced assessor then please contact us at: breeam@bre.co.uk for our licence fees.
