What the exam will qualify you to do

Passing this exam will allow you get a BREEAM Domestic Refurbishment license.  This allows you to submit assessments to BRE Global for certification, following the current BREEAM Quality Assurance and certification process.

What will the online course entail?

The online course will consist of presentations and exercises for you to go through in your own time.

Key learning outcomes from the course are

• Gain an understanding of sustainable refurbishment and the refurbishment market
• Learning the technical aspects of the manual
• The assessment process and support structures in place for the scheme and assessors
• A brief overview of Health & Safety and Building Regulations in a refurbishment context.
• The differences between the assessment of refurbishments compared to new build

Once booked on to the course, you will be emailed details of how to access the online training material at least four weeks prior to the exam. As this course requires pre-exam revision the last booking date for this exam will be three weeks prior to course commencement to allow delegates enough time to complete this revision.

What will the exam day entail?

You will have a half day session of training which will also give you an opportunity to ask our trainers any questions or clarification that you need before the exam.

What is the format of the exam?

The exam consists of 25 multiple choice questions, the duration is 90 minutes.

Delegates are strongly advised to prepare fully for this exam. 

Please note that you must present acceptable photo identification (ID) for admission to the examination. This may be either your passport, driving licence or EU ID card. Please note that without photo ID you will not be permitted to undertake the examination.
