This training course is for candidates who wish to become a Code for Sustainable Homes assessor. The course is three days long, with an additional exam day one month after the training course.

Days 1 and 2 of the course is a mixture of presentations and interactive workshops. Day 3 will be based in a computer suite for interactive training on using the calculator tools and online reporting system. The Code course covers:

Our training courses are designed to be suitable for all delegates, regardless of professional background or qualifications. However, the neccessary skills to become an assessor are:
Examination to be Qualified
Please note that if you are wishing to become a qualified and licensed Code for Sustainable Homes assessor you will require certification against the Competent Persons Scheme. This requires you to undertake an examination, pass, and then apply for Certification with the BREEAM Office. On the examination day delegates are required to bring approved photo ID. Without this they will not be admitted to the examination.
Please note that it is a requirement that once qualified your organisation must hold a BREEAM licence agreement in order to carry out Code for Sustainable Homes assessments.

Please note: This scheme uses calculation tools which run in MS Excel with macros. Macintosh computers are unable to use this function and you will need access to a PC to complete assessments.
