BREEAM Communities 2012 is a significant update to the BREEAM Communities scheme that was originally launched in 2009. The scheme has been updated to ensure it is aligned with changes to the UK planning system and to respond to customer feedback. The new scheme follows a three step process that is more closely linked to the project management of large developments.

All existing qualified BREEAM Communities Assessors are invited to attend a one day top-up course to learn about the new scheme. The first session is being offered free of charge to licensed BREEAM Communities Assessors.
