BRE Global a flash of inspiration!

BRE Global is delighted to have inspired world renowned artist Mamma Andersson (1) with her painting, "Gone for Good" (2).  This emotive painting is based on BRE Global's video; ‘The Front Room Fire', which was produced to demonstrate the potential for the rapid growth of fire in domestic properties.

Available on videotape and DVD, this unique film created in 1989, illustrates the type of furniture which would have been popular during the 1980s and is still found in many homes today.

The film has been extremely successful in educating millions to basic fire safety principles in the home and excerpts have also been used by broadcasters worldwide.

(1) Karin Mamma Andersson has rapidly emerged in recent years as one of Sweden's most internationally famous artists. Her work has led to a renewed and intensified interest in the potential of painting. Born in Luleå in 1962, and raised amidst forests and art books, her work is imbued with beguiling narrative zest and frequent references to the stage and everyday settings as well as to works by other artists.

(2) Currently the painting "Gone for Good", acrylic and oil on panel 48 x 62 7/8th inches (121.9 x 159.7cm), is displayed within a private collection at, ‘The Rachofsky House' in Dallas, USA.
