BRE Training Assistance for Property Professionals Candidates

BRE Training are extremely sorry to hear of the distress caused to candidates and staff of the training and assessment organisation, Property Professionals (previously Home Inspector Training) as this company has been put into administration.

BRE Training can offer the following information to all candidates and trainees registered with PP/HIT:

You should contact the Awarding Body (ABBE) on abbeenquiries@bcu.ac.uk  to obtain confirmation that you are both registered with ABBE and specifically which qualifications you are registered for and any details of Certificates issued and exams passed.


1 - You should formally contact the administrator to say that you are a creditor of the company and have a claim.  We understand that the administrator is  HJS Recovery, 12 - 14 Carlton Place, Southampton, Hampshire, SO15 2EA Telephone: 02380 234222.

2 - If your portfolio is with PP/HIT, then you should also formally tell them that they are holding your portfolio, that this is your property and that you wish to have the portfolio returned to you.

3 - If you arranged any finance to support you with training and assessment, then you should contact the finance provider in case there is any chance of recovery of loss via this route.

4 - If you are a Home Inspector candidate, then you may wish to contact RPSA (info@fpip.org.uk) who are set up to specifically represent Home Inspector candidates.

  • Name and address
  • Contact telephone number
  • Email address
  • Qualification(s) being undertaken
  • Have you got your portfolio?
  • Are you registered with ABBE?
  • Stage of completion of the qualification ie how much of the training have you completed and what stage of assessment are you at
  • Have you passed the ABBE exam?
